I have always been a bit obsessed with language. I started out teaching English in small classrooms, then later as a private tutor, working with students from different backgrounds and levels.
Over time, I noticed a pattern. Most learners understood grammar and basic vocabulary, but they felt lost when native speakers used idioms, metaphors, jokes or casual expressions. That was the part I enjoyed most, so I started focusing my lessons on those.
Alongside teaching, I began working as a freelance writer. I wrote for different clients, including some well known Fortune 500 companies, and that pushed me to think even more carefully about clear and simple language.
It has been an interesting journey. I went from explaining basic grammar to a few students, to helping people from all over the world feel more confident with real, everyday English.
